Keeping warm

The Council's target is that all homes In the borough have access to adequate, affordable heating by 2015. Lack of adequate heating can affect people's general health and wellbeing.

The Council has a wide range of services, advice and support available to anybody who needs help with heating their home or staying fit and well during the winter.

Energy Action Zone

Lewisham's Energy Action Zone Officers provide free advice on how to save energy, reduce fuel poverty, and eligibility for grants or discounted fuel bills. They are particularly keen to talk to those vulnerable to fuel poverty, including people who are housebound through ill health and those on benefits.
